UK internet worth £100bn

Google have commissioned a research paper that says the internet is worth £100bn to the UK economy. The study also tells us that the internet accounts for 7.2% of the UK’s GDP.

The famous Boston Consulting Group said if the internet was an economic sector it would be the UK’s 5th largest sector, this would make the sector larger than the construction, transport and utilities industries.
